During a week when I was sick and stuck at home, I closely monitored my symptoms, similar to caring for delicate terrariums. This inspired me to explore my body’s biology alongside the plant life in my terrariums for a project.
I also integrated the music I listened to each day, reflecting my mood, into the narrative. Using my diary from this time, I plan to create a simple infographic that tells a personal story, adjusting details day by day.
Create a memoir booklet that mirrors daily life during sickness, drawing parallels between my confinement in the apartment and the care I provide to the plants in my terrariums. As I attend to my own well-being, I also nurture the plants within the terrariums.
Utilize predominantly hand-drawn graphic elements inspired by medieval illuminated manuscripts, known for their religious focus, to express the emotions felt each day during confinement in the apartment. Translate the music experienced each day into the pages of the booklet
It would be interesting to apply gold leaf using the same methods used in the 13th-14th century or use papyrus paper for the final booklet. However, the results were intricately gorgeous. Please note that the texts have been altered due to personal privacy.
